PRESENTATION IN A PRIVILEGED LOCATION

In May 2012, designers Dean&Dan Caten presented their new Dsquared2 eyewear collection in the privileged enclave of L’Optica Universitaria, located on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona. ÁREA contributed to generate the maximum impact and maximum diffusion of the event to support the brand and the presentation of its collection in the market, reinforcing its positioning and recognition at a national level, with a special focus on urban consumers and its main target audience.
The place chosen for the event was L’Optica Universitaria located in Paseo de Gracia 122 in Barcelona. For the occasion, the store was decorated with images of the new advertising campaign of the firm and logos of the same; in addition to distributing in the space numerous displays to show the frames and new models. The event began at 19:00 pm, with the arrival of the first attendees. Around 8:30 pm with the arrival of the designers, all the media that were at the event, picked up the arrival of Dean & Dan Caten to the optician’s shop. In addition, the event was attended by executives of the Marcolin International Group, including Maurizio Marcolin, Director of Style and Licensing of the Marcolin Group, accompanied by the Spanish division of Marcolin Ibérica and the team of L’Optica Universitaria. Throughout the event, attendees were able to enjoy the presence of the designers, who signed autographs and took pictures with fans; in addition to enjoying a delicious catering that was accompanied by a cocktail prepared on the spot courtesy of Graygoose. The presentation of the new collection was enlivened by a DJ session by Gerard Estadella.
After the event, the designers enjoyed a dinner at one of the most fashionable private clubs in Barcelona: Restaurant/Club Mutis. There, accompanied by close friends, they enjoyed a menu designed for the occasion with a tasting of typical products of Spanish cuisine.
The presentation of the new collection became an outstanding social event in Barcelona, where about 400 people came to accompany the designers. Before the event, interviews were held with the designers at the Mandarin Hotel in Barcelona. More than 39 media covered the event, including La Vanguardia, Woman, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Men’s Health, TVE, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour and Telva, among many others.
